Observation

As the main speaker in a debate, the candidate was required to write his/her argument for or against the motion: “Our forefathers were happier than we are now”.
A few candidates attempted this question. Many of the candidates struggled to express their views on the motion convincingly. While many of them were in support of the motion, they lacked the expression to put their ideas across. Some of them also mixed up their tenses.
