Observation

The passage was interesting and offered a subject matter that was within the experience and grasp of the candidates. The information required for answering content questions correctly was very clear in the passage. The performance of the candidates was fairly good consequent on the simplicity of the comprehension passage. However, even though many of them could identify the figure of speech – Question 6g, they could not give the meaning of the portion quoted.
