Observation

Many candidates attempted this question and their performance was fair. In part (a) many candidates could not differentiate fractured bone from dislocated joint, but some candidates answered it correctly. In part (a)(ii) they did fairly well. In part (a)(iii) most of the candidates could not state the major function of the part labelled III, many candidates wrote to hold the broken bone in place. In part (b) (i) majority of the candidates were unable to answer it correctly. In part (b)(ii) some of the candidates were unable to name muscles which could be found in the part injured. In part (c) majority of the candidates got it correctly. In part (d) many candidates mentioned some other emergency conditions that require First Aid.
