The performance of candidates who answered this question  was on the average. These candidates failed to mention points such as the fact that the Qur’an is a source of historical information for humankind; it is a comprehensive manual of worship and good human relations; it keeps records of future events and serves as a criterion which separates truth from falsehood; it codifies criminal aspect of Islamic legal system and serves as the root of all forms of knowledge and wisdom.
