Some candidates failed to study the prescribed texts this was evident in their scanty answers to questions. Some candidates could not express their points and ideas in good English; such candidates’ performance was poor.
Suggested Remedies
(a) Candidates should desist from relying only on short notes and summary for study purposes, they should also endeavour to buy and study the prescribed texts.
(b) Candidates should have good knowledge of the texts and present their points in good English with reference to the texts.
(c) The stakeholders in education should encourage candidates to read by providing the prescribed texts in the libraries.
