A good number of candidates answered this question. However, many of them gave a general overview of police activities without pointing out the aspects of the good police officers as well as those of the bad and corrupt officers and showing how their actions and inactions led to the development of the play.

The required answers should include:

• The role of the police in the play.
• Bad policing as exemplified by Commissioner of Police and his “boys”.
• Chief Ade-Amaka’s influence on the police and others.
• Good policing as exemplified by ACP Yakubu and Inspector Inaku and their “boys”.
• Redemption of the image of the police.
