The standard of the paper was good compared favourably with those of previous years. The questions achieved wide coverage of the syllabus. The rubrics were clearly stated, while the marking scheme was exhaustive.
The performance of the candidates was poorer than of previous year with a raw mean score of 22 and a standard deviation of 13.45 when compared to a raw mean score of 25 and a standard deviation of 13.35 in the November/December 2008 WASSCE.
