The question was attempted by many candidates and their  performance was poor.  In part (a)  candidates could not state correctly instances when a jump is considered  invalid in triple jump event in athletics.   In part (b) candidates could state correctly rules guiding 100 m race in  athletics.  In part (c) candidates could not  state duties of a track referee during athletic meet, they thought a track  referee is the same as a football referee.   In part (d) (i), candidates could not state difference between a track  and a lane or a line.  In part (d) (ii)  candidates could not give reasons why 400m race is a sprint race.
                    The expected answers were as follows:
