This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was poor. In part (a) candidates misinterpreted “tendon” as race that we use in shuttlecock, material that helps in breathing and membrane which covers the eyelid. In part (b) candidates went off the track by listing ligament joint, membrane joint, shoulder joint, flexible joint and bend joint as synovial joint.
However, the expected answers were as follows:
2(a) Tendon
It is the tough/non-elastic/strong tissue/fibre that attaches muscles to the bone.
(b) Types of Synovial joints
- ball and socket joint
- hinge joint
- gliding/sliding joint
- pivot/rotating joint
- condyloid joint
- saddle joint.
