The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years.  The questions were unambiguous and within the scope of the syllabus.  While the marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

There was significant improvement on the candidates’ performance compared to last year given the raw mean score of 21 and standard deviation of 10.39 compared to a raw mean score of 20 and a standard deviation of 4.58 in the May/June 2010 WASSCE.
