This question was attempted by many candidates and their performance was fair. In part (a)(i) many candidates answered it correctly. However, some gave wrong answers such as loss of blood, pains, fainting e.t.c. In part (b) few candidates had sound understanding of the stated acronyms.

The expected answers are as follow:

(a) Injuries that a Player could sustain during a football match
    - strain;
    - sprain;
    - dislocation;
    - fracture;
    - cut;
    - muscle tear/cramp
    - contusion;
    - groin pull.

(b) Full meaning of the following acronyms in sports
    (i)IOC - International Olympic Committee
    (ii)FIVB - Federation of International Volleyball
    (iii)FIG - Federation of International Gymnastics
    (iv)SCSA - Supreme Council for Sports in Africa
    (v)ISSF - International Schools Sports Federation
