Grip
(i) held at the handle
(ii) wrap fingers around the handle
(iii) thumb is placed on the first finger
(iv) the little finger rests on the butt of the racket
(v) wrist relatively straight
(vi) adopt a comfortable grip
Stance
(i) stand in astride position
(ii) shoulder width apart
(iii) turn non-racket side to the net / side the direction of play
(iv) knee slightly bent
(v) lean body forward slightly
Execution
(i) wrist is locked
(ii) racket arm extended backward
(iii) racket arm drives forward to hit the bounced ball
(iv) contact the ball at the waist level
(v) body slightly rotated forward
(vi) racket is swung across the body/follow through
