Procedure: Candidate is expected to smash the badminton shuttle into the other side of the court five times.

Grip
(i) held at the handle
(ii) wrap fingers around the handle
(iii) the handle of the racket rests on the base of the fingers
(iv) relatively straight
(v) adopt a comfortable type of grip
Stance
(i) stand astride
(ii) shoulder width apart
(iii) leading leg slightly bent at the knee
(iv) body leans backward slightly
(v) heel of the rear leg is raised
Execution
(i) wrist is flexible
(ii) racket arm is brought over the head
(iii) racket contacts thrown up shuttle above the head
(iv) snap of the wrist
(v) racket is brought forward and downward / follow through
