Observation

Candidates were asked to make a neat freehand pictorial sketch of a double faced sledge hammer.

Candidates’ performance was poor, most of the candidates could not identify the tool and the few that attempted did not draw to proportion.

Candidates were expected to do the following:

Double-faced sledge hammer

(i)         sketch pictorial view;  
(ii)        draw for resemblance;
(iii)       draw to proportional;
(iv)       sketch face A;
(v)        sketch face B;
(vi)       sketch face C;
(vii)     sketch face D;
(viii)    sketch the handle;
(ix)      draw neatly;
(x)       show good quality line;
