Observation

The question was attempted by many candidates. Candidates performance for this question was fair. The candidates were expected to answer in the following way:
                       
A.        LAYOUT                  

1.         PLANNING               

(i)         Create design for a fabric to be worn on the day of Africa remembers her fallen heroes/heroines.        

(ii)         Mapping out space for diamond repeat pattern.                                                       

            
2.         COMPOSITION       

(i)         Judicious use of space to size specification: (25cm by 15cm).                                

(ii)        Effective arrangement of all elements in the diamond repeat pattern design.     

B.        TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY     

(i)         Should use effectively the motif(s) adopted.                                                         

(ii)        Ability to depict diamond repeat pattern design on the fabric.                              

(iii)       Proper use of materials and instruments.                                                                 

C.        COLOUR     

(i)         Choice of harmonious and contrasting colours.                                                       

(ii)        Suitable mixture, application and distribution of colours.
(iii)       Use of colours to specification. 

D.        SUITABILITY        

(i)         Should produce a suitable diamond repeat pattern design.                                     

E.        ORIGINALITY       

(i)         Evidence of individual creativity.
