Observation

This question was attempted by many candidates wrongly while others didn’t know what mirror repeat pattern entailed. The candidates were expected to answer in the following way:
           
A.        LAYOUT                              

1.         PLANNING                          

(i)       Appropriate design for fabric meant for traditional dancers.                  

(ii)        Mapping out space for the mirror repeat pattern.                                                     

2.         COMPOSITION       

(i)         Effective arrangement of mirror repeat pattern.        

(ii)        Judicious use of space to size specification: (25cm x 15cm).                                              
           
B.        TECHNICAL PROFICIENCY                 

(i)         Ability to execute an attractive mirror repeat pattern design.                                           

(ii)        Should use suitable motif(s) for mirror repeat pattern design.                               

(iii)       Skillful use of materials and instruments.                           
C.        COLOUR                           

(i)         Choice of harmonious and contrasting colours.                

(ii)        Suitable mixture, application and distribution of colours to specification.           

D.        SUITABILITY
