(a) Using the table below, classify specimens J, K, L, M, N and O into the following crop groups.


(b) List five general cultural practices that are carried out by farmers when growing specimens J, K, L, M, N and O. (5 marks)
(c) State four ways in which the growing of specimens J, K, L, M, N and O is important to humans. (4 marks)

Observation

 

(a) This question was attempted by most candidates. Majority of the candidates correctly classified each crop into its appropriate group.

(b) Many candidates were unable list the cultural practices carried out by farmers when growing specimens J, K, L, M, N and O but were mentioning farm operations like ploughing, ridging, bush clearing, harvesting etc.

(c) Some candidates could only mention the specimens as sources of food for man but were unable to mention other importance of the specimens to humans.
