Catering Craft Practice Paper 2, May/June 2015

Candidates' Weakness

The candidates’ major weakness was lack of knowledge of the culinary and technical terms of the subject. Many questions were not well interpreted by the candidates because they lack the knowledge of the subject and this may be rooted in their inability to study and prepare for the examination.

Remedies for overcoming the above stated weaknesses include the employment of more Catering Craft Practice qualified teachers to teach the students. Schools should provide laboratories for practical work, unified standard textbooks should be recommended and parents should also invest in textbooks and monitor their wards. Candidates on their part should focus and endeavour to devote time to their studies.
