  1. Itemise four types of pasta.
  2. List six types of sauces that could be served with pasta.
  3. List six methods of meat preservation.

 

Observation

 

 

This was a very popular question among the candidates as it was widely attempted. However, candidates performance on this question was just average. In 3(a) many candidates were mostly able to name two types of pasta (spaghetti and macaroni) while a few other candidates listed more. For 3(b), only a few candidates correctly listed the types of sauces while for 3(c) most candidates were able to list the correct methods of preserving meat e.g. salting, freezing, chilling etc.
