Majority of the candidates responded to this question. However, their performance was below average.
In part (a), Majority of the candidates were able to identify Cu2+, CO2 from CO32- based on the tests and the corresponding observations.
In part (b), majority of the candidates were not familiar with confirmatory test for SO42-.
Also, they were not familiar with the confirmatory test for Zn2+which differentiated it from Al2+
