The question was poorly attempted by most of the candidates. The candidates just interpreted marketing to mean buying and selling and their responses were channeled in that perspective. Marketing is more than just buying and selling.
Marketing does the following
[i] Product development .
[ii] Diversification into new markets
[iii] Creation of awareness for new and existing products.
[iv] Mass production e.t.c.
