Candidate's Weakness
Some of the weaknesses observed in the candidates’ scripts are
- Many candidates listed items instead of stating the answers as required in some questions.
- The arrangement of some candidates’ work was haphazard especially in question.
- Many candidates did not understand the expectation of some questions hence wrote off point.
- Many candidates answered two or more questions in a page.
- Many candidates did not use conjunctions words like while when they were expected to compare or differentiate.
Suggested Remedies
- The candidates should be encouraged to study standard and recommended text books on commerce in their preparation for the examination.
- Teachers should be encouraged to expose their students to practical questions.
- Teachers should be encouraged to teach students how to answer applied questions.
