Candidates’ Weaknesses

The few candidates that did not respond well were reported to lack the ability to:

1. use measuring instruments with required accuracy;


2. make deductions and comment appropriately based on available facts.

Suggested Remedy

The remedies suggested were that candidates should be exposed more to laboratory experiments using the appropriate components and:

1. pay more attention to use of measuring instruments;


2. be taught how to make deductions from experiments performed.
