Weakness and Remedies
The following weaknesses were noticed in the candidates’ responses.
Candidates
- did not show good understanding of capture fisheries;
- wrote spellings of technical words wrongly;
- showed poor knowledge of materials used in culturing fisheries.
The following remedies were however suggested:
- Candidates should be exposed to capture fisheries.
- Field trips should be organized for candidates to enhance their experiences.
- Qualified teachers should be recruited to teach the subject.
- Good textbooks should be recommended to the candidates since the subject is relatively new.
- Candidates should be familiar with technical terms in fisheries and be able to write their spellings correctly.
