Weakness and Remedies

 

 

The following weaknesses were observed.
Candidates:

  • could not label ring/support structure/frame in scoop net;
  • could not draws seine net correctly;
  • found it difficult to describe how specimen B (seine net) could be used in capture fisheries;
  • wrote wrong spellings;
  • did not understand the demands of some of the questions;
  • labelled some of the specimens wrongly.

The following remedies were suggested.

  • Qualified teachers should be allowed to teach the subject.
  • Candidates should understand the demands of questions before responding to them.
  • Candidates should be exposed to practical aspect of the subject.
Teachers should cover the teaching syllabus before examinations begin
