(a) Mention two materials that could be used in place of specimen I for fish packaging.

(b) State three industrial uses of specimen J.

(c) Mention two uses of specimen G.

(d) Mention any other five by-products that could be derived from fish apart from specimen J.

(e) State three ways of maintaining specimen G. [15 marks]

Observation

 

This question was well attempted and the performance of the candidates was good.
In part (a), majority of the candidates were able to state the materials that could be used in place of specimen I for fish packaging.

In part (b), majority of the candidates mentioned the industrial uses of fish as a source of food instead of fish skin. In part (c), majority of the candidates were able to mention the uses of specimen G correctly.

In part (d), majority of the candidates could not mention any other five by-products that could be derived from fish apart from specimen J. Majority of the candidates were mentioning the uses of fish instead of by-products.

In part (e), majority of the candidates were able to state the ways of maintaining specimen G.
