The candidates were required to
1a. Describe how each of the following body measurements are taken:
(i) Across back;
(ii) Bust;
(iii) Crotch;
(iv) Hips;
Observation
Candidates could not describe how the different measurements could be taken i.e. armhole to the other armhole measurement at the back best describe across back measurement. Taking the bust measurement is best described by explaining that the tape is placed round the fullest part of the bust with the tape slightly raised at the back. Crotch measurement should be taken in sitting position and the waist to the surface of the seat/chair.
