Explain the following  terms as used in Garment Making.
                        (i)         dart;
                        (ii)        gathers;
                        (iii)       openings;
                        (iv)       fastenings;
                        (v)        disposal  of fullness.
Observation
Very few candidates attempted this  question 
And  they did not perform well. (i). Darts are triangular folds of fabrics stitched  to tapered point of garment.  (ii).  Gathers are soft folds of fabrics formed by the fabric fit into a pre-determined  area. (iii). Openings are features on garments which allow for easy wearing and  removal of garment. (iv). Fastenings are devices used to close openings  securely. (v). Disposal of fullness refers to the various methods of  controlling fullness in order to give shape, fit and appearance.
