This question was not popular among the candidates. Many of the candidates who answered the question could not represent the data on the graph paper. Practising how to draw climatic graphs is important since climate is a vital part of the syllabus. Many of the candidates who answered the question were able to calculate the mean annual rainfall for the station. Some of the candidates were also able to identify the climatic type as Mediterranean. However, some of the candidates could not state the reason why the climate is Mediterranean. The expected reasons are:
the summer is hot and dry;
the winter is mild and wet;
winter temperatures are never below 12°C;
summer temperature ranges from 21°C to 23°C;
the temperature range is 11°C.
