"Allahu Gwani yai alkawali,
Zai babbaka duk mai
...

Kawasshake ciki da tuwon Zu/mu,
 Zai dibgi wuta a cikin kunci

Zai shake ciki da wuta hakkan,

                              (a)       Daga wace waka aka ciro wadannan baitoci?
                             (b)        Mene ne jigon wakar?
                              (c)        Kawo ma 'anar kalmomin da aka ja wa layi.

Observation

The stanzas above were taken from the book Wakokin Hausa (written poetry) and the candidates were required to identify the song from which the stanzas were culled, the theme of the song and the meaning of the underlined words. Thus: an ciro wacfannan baitoci ne daga Wakar Hana Zalunci ta Malam Salihu Kwantagora. Jigon wakar kuwa, shi ne, gargacfi/facfakarwalwa'azi a kan illan zalunci.
