Observation

Candidates were required to explain Jaje, a form of condolence greeting to someone who had any sort of accident in (a), Ta’aziyya, a condolence greeting for a loss of close relation in (b) and Barka, a congratulatory greeting to someone who has put to bed in (c). Candidates who attempted this question showed that some of them do not read to familiarize themselves with the Hausa customs and institutions.
