This question was attempted by few candidates and the candidates performed fairly well.
In part (a) candidate either defined or mentioned organism, some mentioned cells of the body or systems.   In part (b)(i) candidate could not give examples of tissue, In part (b) (ii) candidates could not  state function of tissue.  In part (c)   candidates listed basic elements which make up proteins.

The expected answers were as follows:

  •    A tissue is a group of similar cells

   performing the same function.

  • Bone tissue/connective tissue/blood tissue

  • Produces bone cells
  • Production of blood cells.
