CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

            These included:

            (1)        Poor expression
Many of the candidates lacked the ability to express themselves in simple language.  They used poor tenses and could not articulate their points. 

            (2)        Inadequate Facts
Majority of the candidates gave disjointed and skimpy answers because they lacked adequate historical facts that would have enabled them do justice to the questions. 

            (3)        Irrelevant Answers
Some of the candidates wasted their time giving answers that were not related to the questions asked.  It showed clear lack of understanding of the requirements of the questions. 

 

SUGGESTED REMEDIES

  1. Candidates should cultivate reading habit to enhance their understanding of English Language

  2. Candidates should also read relevant History textbooks.

  3. Candidates should go through the questions first before attempting them.
