Candidates’ weaknesses were observed in these areas:

 

1. inability to adhere to the rubrics;
2. inability to write the required essay length;
3. ignorance of the set textbooks;
4. inability to define terms;
5. lack of knowledge on the Igbo customs questions;

inability to write legibly

 

      SUGGESTED REMEDIES

1. Teachers should always brief students on the exams ethics.
2. Efforts should be made to circulate the list of recommended textbooks.
3. Candidates should endeavor to procure the recommended textbooks.
4. Candidates should spend time to understand the demands of the questions before answering them.

Candidates should be encouraged to always adhere to the rubrics.
