Literature-In-English Paper 2 WASSCE (SC), 2016

Question 2

    AMMA DARKO: Faceless

Examine the significance of Vickie and Kabria's visit to the police station.

Observation

This was a popular question. However, many of the candidates focused on the decadence of the facilities at the police station and failed to point out its significance in the novel.

Candidates were expected to mention the following points:

• The visit shows the interest of MUTE in Baby T's case.

• It brings out the decadence of the facilities at the police station and their unwillingness to pursue the case.

• MUTE's visit promises hope for the hopeless and voiceless in the society.

Candidates' performance was good.
