The novel is the autobiographical record of Richard Wright's childhood
experiences. The events are presented mostly through the eyes of a child. The
mode of narration is first person narrative. There is the use of '1', we, for the
narrative voice. The candidates were expected to present another use of this
technique with reference to the text.
Few candidates attempted this question and their performance was poor. |
