Observation

Some of the candidates could not make a favourable comparison between the Trumpet and Recorder.  It was evident that some are conversant with the Trumpet but could not describe the Recorder.  Their abysmal performance here made them to lose the total marks obtainable.

Some of the expected answers are:
(a)(I)  Trumpet is made of brass while Recorder is made of wood/plastic.
(II) Trumpet is classified as brass while Recorder is woodwind.
(III) Recorder is less expensive than the trumpet
(IV) Trumpet’s tone is brassy while recorder’s tone is mellow.

(b)     Oboe, Bassoon, Clarinet

(c) Reed, mouthpiece, Bell, keys, etc.
