The following are the weaknesses identified in candidates’ performance.

(i) Ignorance of the syllabus
(ii) Inadequate preparation for the examination
(iii) Poor knowledge of musical terms/concepts.

In order to overcome the above weaknesses, candidates are advised to

(i) study the syllabus;
(ii) adequately prepare for the examinations;
(iii) receive tutorials from qualified music teachers while reading relevant textbooks.
