This question was attempted by  many candidates and the  candidates’  performance was fair.  In part (a)  candidates could not write characteristics of a physically health person,   candidates wrote the components of physical  fitness e.g. muscular strength, agility, power, muscular endurance, speed,  flexibility and body composition.                 
                      In part (c) few candidates failed  to mention type of muscles in the body, candidate mentioned or wrote muscle of  different parts of the body e.g. biceps, triceps, rectus abdominis, deltoid,  teres while some candidates wrote joints e.g. hinge, pivot, gliding, ball and  socket.
                      The expected answers were as  follows:
                      8(a)      Characteristics of a healthy person
  -           long  life expectancy;
  -           freedom  from disease and infirmity;
  -           has  adequate vigour and vitality;
  -           works  without undue fatigue;
  -           feels  enthusiastic and imaginative;
  -           ability  to cope with emergencies;
  -           adjusts  to stress.
                         (b)     Types of muscles in the body 
                      
                        - voluntary/stripped/skeletal/striated muscle;
- involuntary/smooth muscle;
- cardiac muscle/heart.
