The standard of the paper was high and compared favourably with those of previous years.  The questions covered wide range of the syllabus.  While the marking scheme was exhaustive and flexible.

The candidates’ performance this year was slightly better compared to last year with a raw mean score of 22 and standard deviation of 10.30 with total candidature of 12,865 compared to a raw mean score of 21 and a standard deviation of 10.39 in the May/June 2011 WASSCE with total candidature 13,801.
