Weakness/Remedies

The candidates weaknesses include their inability to:

  • express themselves properly in English Language;
  • write correct spellings;
  • write legibly;
  • cover the syllabus and skills in schools;
  • mention injuries that could affect human muscle
  • list materials necessary in administering First Aid for complicated fracture
  • state characteristics of a physically challenged person
  • state ways in which sleep is important to humans
  • state contributions of Christian missionaries, Colonial administrators and British Council  in the development of physical education in West Africa
  • outline ways by which international competition is of importance to athletes
  • mention recreational activities in which the aged could be engaged;
  • state effects of alcohol on the athlete.

The following remedies were suggested to overcome these weaknesses:

  • Teachers should spend more time with students to cover the syllabus
  • students should develop to a good reading culture
  • English Language teachers should endeavour to teach students essay writing for development of good expression
  • handwriting should be taught in the schools
  • students should make use of dictionaries to improve their spellings.
