Candidates' Weakness

• Candidates were unable to distinctly state the functions of individual components of stages in a CRT Television receiver and Radio receiver sets.
• Candidates could not answer Question 3 from the practical perspective as required in the paper. Most of them applied their theoretical knowledge.
• Many candidates could not plot variables correctly on the graph sheet.

Suggested Remedies

It was suggested that to remedy this weakness:

• Candidates should be taught the functions of individual components and the purpose for which they used in the stages of CRT Television and Radio receiver sets;
• Candidates should be exposed to series of practical sessions;
• Candidates should be taught how to plot variables on the graph sheet.
