Candidate's Weakness and Remedies
Candidates’ weaknesses were shown in the following areas:
- freehand sketch of specified workshop tool (rammer);
- use of conventional symbols;
- proper application of drawing principles;
- proportionality of parts in freehand sketching;
- drawing the detailed section of a particular plane on a given building;
- neatness and linework.
4. SUGGESTED REMEDY FOR OVERCOMING THESE WEAKNESSES
Candidates were urged to study every item contained in their study outlines. They were also advised to practice regularly and concentrate more on the identified weakness areas. School owners were urged to equip their schools with viable studio for students’ practice and also ensure that only qualified persons teach the subject. Teachers were advised not to skip any part of the syllabus in grooming the students for examination.
