Candidates' Weakness

Candidates’ weaknesses were seen in their:

1. inability to follow instructions guiding the drawing of the objects/model placed/arranged/posed before them;
2. poor drawing skills;
3. poor observational skills;
4. inability to understand the principles and elements of art.

 
4.         SUGGESTED REMEDIES TO OVERCOME CANDIDATES’ WEAKNESSES

1. Art teachers should groom the candidates’ properly in understanding the art language for easy interpretation before answering questions.  
2. The art teachers should mount the objects as described in the instruction to teachers/supervisors.
3. Candidates should practice the art of drawing regularly.
4. Candidates should learn to apply the principles of art in their work.
5. Qualified art teachers should be recruited to teach art.
6. Candidates should be made to visit art galleries and museums.
