Observation

The question was attempted by many candidates. Many of the candidates performed above average. They were expected to respond to the question thus:

(a)        Materials used in producing a mosaic picture
-     Strong background (plywood/wall/board).
-   Pebbles/wood/tesserae/buttons/glass/beads/marbles/stone/shells/colouredbroken bottles/seeds/sizeable pieces of plastics.
-     Gum/adhesive.

(b)        Sequential steps involved in producing a mosaic picture
-           Get needed materials ready.  
-           Get a strong background/wall/board.
-           Clean off any debris from the mosaic base.
-           Make sketches/design/picture.
-           Transfer the sketches onto the background.
-           Rub the surface of the background with gum/adhesive.
-           Sort your shapes out by colour.
-           Set/arrange the bits to build up the picture/design.
-           Allow work to set and remain for hours to dry.
-           Give finishing touches by cleaning stains
-           Do the framing.
