The remedies are as follows:
- schools should educate the candidates to adhere to instructions/rubrics of question papers;
- candidates should be encouraged to cultivate the habit of reading extensively and using the library;
- teachers should endeavour to cover the syllabus;
- candidates should be taught history of art.
