In this question, candidates were required to

  1. List types of fortified wine.
  2. State factors that influence the taste and quality of wine.

Observation

Question 5 was widely attempted and very well answered. Candidates were able to list the types of fortified wine such as: port, sherry, vermouth. Candidates were able to state the factors that influence the taste and quality of wine which include: nature of the soil and subsoil; composition of the grapes; method of wine making.
