The candidate is required to write an article suitable for publication in a national newspaper discussing three reasons why some students drop out of school and suggesting how it can be avoided. Some of the candidates who attempted this question used the formal features of a letter. However, some wrote the caption properly. In addition, some of the candidates discussed the two parts of the question adequately using the appropriate vocabulary.
