Observation

As the newly-elected president of a cultural organisation, the candidate is required to write a speech he/she would deliver at his/her inauguration, highlighting the need to maintain the traditions of his/her people. This was not a popular question. Many of the candidates struggled to convincingly express their thoughts and their responses did not reflect that they understood the demands of the question. However, most candidates got the vocatives right and also made use of formal language.
