In this question, candidates were expected to

(a)  Mention the classes of beverages.

(b) State the uses of beverages in a diet.

(c) Describe the preparation of a fruit drink in sequential order.

   

 

OBSERVATION

  Majority of candidates that answered this question performed very well and most of the candidates   
   were able to list the classes of beverages and the uses of beverages in the diet. The candidates wrote
   the answers correctly and more than the required points. However, in  the ‘c’ part of the question,
   candidates were unable to sequentially describe the preparation of a fruit drink, they failed to write
   that syrup should be prepared and allowed to cool, wash and cut the fruit before blending, sieve the
   fruit and served chilled.
